Manufy is looking for Sustainability Rookie Intern based in Amsterdam , Groningen or London. The ideal candidate should have some sort of a background in sustainability, and interest in the fashion industry.

What will you be doing?

  • Be focusing on the onboarding of new clients (both Manufacturers and Brands) onto the Manufy platform
  • Ensuring they have the best introduction to Manufy and are there to answer any questions regarding production, materials and sustainability
  • Process and handle questions related to EU regulations and certifications
  • Develop methods and tools to monitor the process of auditing manufacturers.
  • Work together with the management on executing sustainable ideas for the Manufy platform.
  • Brainstorm blog and newsletters ideas to inform and inspire our manufacturers, buyers and freelancers.
  • Play a central role in Amsterdam / Groningen/ London in information sharing regarding sustainability.

Technical attributes of ideal candidate

Include but are not limited to the following:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Sustainability, Sustainable Business & Innovation, Environmental Sciences/Management, CSR or any other related field.
  • Fluent in English, both conversational and written, is essential.
  • Affinity with the Apparel Industry.
  • Passion for the environment.
  • On top of the trends regarding sustainability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Highly organised and detail oriented.
  • Ability to “think out of the box” about new ideas around sustainability.
  • Any previous experience in a start-up or intensive team work is highly appreciated

What else is useful to know?

We would like you to start ideally as soon as possible. The internship will be for a period of 4-6 months. You will work in our office in Amsterdam (or Groningen, or London full-time, alongside our Sustainability Manager Chloe. We hope that you can be in the office 3 to 5 days per week. It is also possible to work from home for part of the time. 

We can’t offer you an internship allowance and reimburse your travel costs. We can however offer you a great and constructive time working with the most entertaining, diverse, smart and admittedly weird team. You can drive positive change in an industry that really needs it. And let’s not forget about that free lunch we’ll be having together (if in the Netherlands).
