ATHENSKNITLAB , is a contemporary knitting lab based in Athens, Greece , founded in 2020, by knit & textile specialist Vasilios Fasois accompanied by Marianna Fasois as Creative director and Sotiria Fasois as Technical designer.

Following a generation of craftsmen,  Vasilios has a long journey in research and technical knit He has worked extensively for high-end fashion and sports brands in Europe,Asia and the USA .He has been extensively involved in the development and production of 3D knitted footwear in Taiwan,China ,Italy and the USA  .The last few years he has worked with digital innovators to create the future of digital manufacturing in knitted products and the design of digitally enabled software solutions to streamline product development.

Marianna holds a university degree in Cultural Management, Marketing & Creative Directing in art & cultural projects. She has a wide experience of working in the athenian arts scene. 

Sotiria has graduated from the department of Architecture of the IUAV University of Venice and has a fresh & technical approach in material design, patterns &  Cad software programming.

Athens Knit Lab resides  in the southern suburbs of Athens, Greece. Through its cultural background Athens has become a modern hub for innovators who are looking for a fertile ground to invest in new ideas. Inspired by creative initiatives, start-up companies and young artists we decided to remain local and create a shelter for our project.Our lab is open to all kinds of diverse and curious individuals or teams who are interested in knitting.
